Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring 2+ years of IR experience and current ARRT certification.
Details
- Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures unit
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
- On call required with a 30 minute response time
- Uses Epic charting system
- Equipment includes CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, GE Innova IGS, and Siemens imaging systems
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology (candidates with neuro IR and scrub experience may be considered with 1 year of experience)
- Current ARRT (R) certification required, ARRT (VI) preferred
- Current BLS required, ACLS preferred
- Travel and scrub experience required
- Experience with venous access, central venous lines, and PICC line care and maintenance
- Skilled in vascular closure systems, EKG lead placement, and equipment set up
- Experience with a broad range of IR procedures including angioplasty, embolization, angiography, stent placement, and biopsy procedures
- Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
- License required if applicable
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include procedural support such as room circulating, sterile field maintenance, and accurate patient monitoring during procedures
- May assist with vascular, genitourinary, neurological, and abdominal/pelvic interventional procedures
- Maintains equipment, stocks supplies, and manages inventory
- Orientation held five days per week
- Facility does not accept local candidates; must reside 65+ miles from the facility
- Candidates previously employed by the facility as permanent staff or in-house contractors must have a 1 year separation before returning as a traveler
