Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring 2+ years of IR experience and current ARRT certification.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures unit
  • 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • On call required with a 30 minute response time
  • Uses Epic charting system
  • Equipment includes CT, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, GE Innova IGS, and Siemens imaging systems

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology (candidates with neuro IR and scrub experience may be considered with 1 year of experience)
  • Current ARRT (R) certification required, ARRT (VI) preferred
  • Current BLS required, ACLS preferred
  • Travel and scrub experience required
  • Experience with venous access, central venous lines, and PICC line care and maintenance
  • Skilled in vascular closure systems, EKG lead placement, and equipment set up
  • Experience with a broad range of IR procedures including angioplasty, embolization, angiography, stent placement, and biopsy procedures
  • Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • License required if applicable

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include procedural support such as room circulating, sterile field maintenance, and accurate patient monitoring during procedures
  • May assist with vascular, genitourinary, neurological, and abdominal/pelvic interventional procedures
  • Maintains equipment, stocks supplies, and manages inventory
  • Orientation held five days per week
  • Facility does not accept local candidates; must reside 65+ miles from the facility
  • Candidates previously employed by the facility as permanent staff or in-house contractors must have a 1 year separation before returning as a traveler
