What You'll Do:

As a Medication Technician, you’ll play a vital role in enriching the lives of our residents. You won’t just be administering medications, you’ll be a trusted caregiver, a health advocate, and a comforting presence in their daily lives.
In this rewarding role, you'll ensure medications and treatments are delivered with accuracy and care, support daily health monitoring, and provide compassionate, hands-on assistance that helps our residents thrive. Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Medications & Treatments – Pass medications and provide treatments safely according to care plans.
  • Provide Hands-On Care – Assist residents with personal care (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
  • Support Mealtime – Help residents enjoy their meals and stay hydrated for overall health.
  • Promote Mobility – Assist with turning, positioning, and safe transfers to keep residents moving safely.
  • Perform Vital Checks – Measure and record vital signs, weight, and intake/output.
  • Maintain Comfort & Care – Keep residents’ rooms tidy, cozy, and stocked with essentials.
  • Respond to Resident Needs – Answer call lights promptly and provide compassionate support.
  • Monitor Resident Conditions – Report any changes to the leadership team immediately.
  • Demonstrate Respect & Professionalism – Maintain confidentiality while delivering high-quality care.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Must be 18 years of age or older. 
  • 1 year of medication passing experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Previous experience as a caregiver in a healthcare setting, preferably with seniors or in long-term care.
  • Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance.
  • Previous working knowledge of Electronic Medication Administration Records (EMAR) systems, preferred.
