Job Summary:
The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (Cardiovascular Technician) position is located in Brick, New Jersey. The role involves assisting physicians with complex cardiovascular procedures such as balloon pump insertion, Impella device placement, pacemaker insertion, IVUS, and mechanical thrombectomy. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The position adopts a day shift schedule and requires maintaining proficiency with imaging equipment and sterile techniques.

Job Details:

  • Location: Brick, New Jersey

  • Schedule: Days, 0700-1730, 8 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week

  • Required Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent; BS preferred
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
    • At least 2 years of prior experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory or invasive procedure area in an acute care hospital, or 6-12 months during a CVT (Cardiovascular Technology) accredited program or 2 years in another cardiac vascular laboratory
    • Familiarity with computers, hemodynamic monitoring, and sterile operative techniques
    • Valid licenses and certifications to be presented on first day
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Pacemaker insertion experience (preferred)
    • Additional skills with operating X-ray imaging equipment, C-arm, and performing intra-aortic balloon pump insertion, Impella insertion, IVUS, and mechanical thrombectomy
  • Additional Information:

    • Call as needed, on-call requirement present
    • Float: Float rotation may be required.
    • Lifting minimum weights: 40 lbs., pushing and pulling weights up to 100 lbs.
    • Ability to stand for at least 4 hours.
    • Candidates should modify and deliver patient care specific to age, culture, language, and other needs.
