Established in 1901, Glen Echo is believed to be the oldest, continually running country club and golf course west of the Mississippi River. It is also the oldest, continuously operating Olympic venue in the world. Glen Echo opened to glowing reviews as the first, complete 18-hole golf course in St. Louis and is considered one of the most historic private clubs in the area. Glen Echo became world renowned when it hosted the Olympic Golf Championships in 1904. Like all country clubs of that era, Glen Echo was home to high society, their families, and friends. The facility is regarded as “Sacred Gound” by its loyal Membership.\r\nThis is a unique opportunity to work at a Club that will celebrate its 125th anniversary of existence and the 100-year anniversary of the “new” Clubhouse in 2026. Glen Echo will also celebrate the Olympic Golf Games returning to the United States after a 124-year absence in 2028 at Los Angeles Country Club. These are exciting times here at this historic facility designed by James Foulis, winner of the 1896 US Open, and built by he and his brother Robert!\r\nThe Greens and Grounds Team is comprised of employees who are dedicated to the success of the Club as demonstrated by their long-term employment (24-year average)!
