Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care within a specialty clinic. Working as part of a small clinical team, this position supports healthcare providers by managing patient preparation, clinical procedures, and maintaining accurate medical records using systems such as Cerner, Epic, and Meditech. While the role primarily focuses on in-clinic support, occasional patient outreach or follow-up calls may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and clinical procedures
• Prepare patients for examinations and treatments
• Take and record vital signs accurately
• Maintain and update medical records with attention to detail
• Support healthcare providers during clinical activities
• Educate patients on care instructions as needed
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of medical assisting experience
• Certificate in Medical Assisting
• Phlebotomy skills
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Familiarity with clinical procedures and insurance verification
• Strong time management and teamwork abilities
• Data entry accuracy
