Job Opportunity Position: Radiologic Technologist - CT
Schedule
Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with rotational weekend and holiday responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
- New York State license/registration.
- Minimum of one year of CT/MRI experience as a radiologic technologist.
- Ability to pass pre-employment health clearance.
Responsibilities
The radiologic technologist will perform radiographic examinations under the supervision of departmental radiologists. Key responsibilities include:
- Greeting and educating patients about the examination procedure.
- Positioning patients effectively to obtain high-quality radiographs.
- Setting appropriate exposure factors to achieve required imaging quality.
- Implementing radiation safety protocols to minimize undue exposure.
- Maintaining proficient operation of imaging equipment to ensure quality studies.
- Reporting equipment malfunctions to the immediate supervisor promptly.
- Processing films and documenting patient information in the Radiology Information System.
- Adhering to department procedures and policies as outlined in the Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Providing radiologic examinations based on the needs and requests of referring physicians and radiologists.
