American Traveler is hiring an Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with dual certification (RDCS/RCS and RVT) and 2+ years of experience in echocardiography and vascular studies for an outpatient medical pavilion setting.
Details- Outpatient medical pavilion setting in the Echo/Cardiac Sonography department
- Daily caseload of 10–12 studies per technologist
- Cases include TTE and a broad range of vascular studies: lower extremity venous and arterial (LEVs, LEAs, ABIs), carotid duplex, upper extremity arterial and venous (UEAs, UEVs), and groin duplex/pseudoaneurysm
- Monday through Thursday, approximately 36 hours per week, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No on-call or weekend requirements
- No floating to other units or sister facilities
- Epic EMR — experience preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiography and vascular sonography
- Dual certification required: RDCS or RCS and RVT; CCI certification also accepted
- Current BLS (AHA only)
- Hands-on experience with TTE and vascular studies including LEVs, LEAs, ABIs, carotids, UEAs, UEVs, and groin duplex (pseudoaneurysm)
- SC license required if applicable
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Non-local candidates are prioritized; local candidates (within 60 miles of the facility) are considered on a case-by-case basis
- Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration; approval is subject to facility needs
- Online modules are required and must be completed prior to the start of the assignment
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
- No parking cost
- Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June–November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response duties; peak activity months are August and September
- Epic EMR experience is preferred
