Physician Assistant - Surgery - General Locum

Locum Neurosurgery Physician Assistant San Francisco, CA

We are seeking an experienced Neurosurgery Physician Assistant for a full-time locum assignment in San Francisco, CA. This role includes inpatient coverage, outpatient clinic support, and OR assistance within a high-acuity neuro-trauma environment.

Schedule

• Full-time coverage needed
• 4x10s weekly
• Shift hours: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
• There will be weekend coverage as part of the Schedule! No Call!

Practice Setting

• Inpatient census: 815 patients/day
• Outpatient census: ~20 patients/day (shared with attending)
• Heavy neuro-trauma patient population
• APPs assist with inpatient care, clinic coverage, and OR support

Requirements

• Minimum 12 years of Neurosurgery experience
• Required inpatient and outpatient experience
• MUST have Level 1 Trauma experience
• Neuro-trauma experience required
• Preferred first assist experience

Procedures/Skills

• APP must independently remove surgical drains
• Other bedside procedures performed with attending oversight

Certifications & EMR

• Active BLS & ACLS required
• EMR: Epic
