Estimator
The General Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Estimator to fulfill a Lead Senior Construction
Estimator Role for multiple Massachusetts Public Projects.
Responsibilities include:
• Being able to perform complete take-offs for Divisions 3-11 specifically.
• Preferred but not required to have civil / Division 31-33 experience for take offs
• Managing and finding Project leads to bid
• Attending Pre-Bids, Dissecting document to deliver questions in a timely manner for the bid
process deadlines to assure clarity.
• Identifying the File Sub Bid scope and General Contractor responsibilities where there work
scope stops.
• Provide complete Project Estimate in detail with supporting documentation including bids, take
off estimates, labor estimates, etc.
• Soliciting and reviewing all subcontractor estimates to ensure complete and competitive scope
to be used in proposals.
• Provide value engineering / strategy for potential cost saving or more aggressive approaches to
the projects during the bid process.
• Identify project risks for each bid to the Team including but not limited to schedule, work shift
durations (2nd and 3rd shifts), environmental, site logistics, etc.
• Coordinating/managing between 2-3 estimates at the same time depending on the size.
Qualifications:
• 5-10 years of construction project estimating experience in specifically Massachusetts Public
Construction / DCAMM projects.
• Previous experience in pre-construction planning, commercial construction, and basic
estimating is helpful.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a high volume environment and manage multiple construction projects at a
time to meet established goals.
• Customer relationship management experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, On Screen Take offs, Construction Connect,
Bluebeam and Procore.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or above is preferred.
Environment: Approximately 90% of the time spent in an office setting and 10% on Project Bid Meetings
/ Pre-Bids.

Vehicle - Company Vehicle is available for all Site Visits and Business Meetings
Equipment - Lap Top, Monitors, Software, generally pertinent items needed for this
employee will be provided to each employee.
Training - Training is provided / further education improvements are always option
