About this role:
- The Charles Lea Center is dedicated to supporting adults where they live, work, and play. We are seeking a dependable and customerfocused Transportation Specialist to safely transport individuals served in our Day Services, Employment, and Supportive Living programs. This role ensures reliable transportation before, during, and after designated program hours while maintaining professionalism, safety, and excellent customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Safely transport individuals to and from program sites during scheduled hours.
- Complete aDaily Vehicle Inspection Form to ensure safe driving conditions.
- Ensure the vehicle receives requiredmonthly mechanical inspections.
- Report mechanical or operational concerns to the Logistics Manager and Mechanic.
- Communicate customer or service concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Document incidents, parental concerns, or behavioral notes inTherapy, as required.
- Submit daily and monthly documentation to the Logistics Manager each Tuesday.
- Maintain accurate time punches, PTO requests, and time changes in BambooHR.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure all required supplies are stocked, including:
- First Aid Kits
- Vehicle safety manuals
- Properly mounted fire extinguisher
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.
What Youll Need:
- Minimum age: 18
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 24 years of relevant experience preferred
- Valid drivers license and Social Security number
- Ability to type 70+ WPM and navigate basic computer systems
- Must pass background checks, DMV screening, Medicaid exclusion, fingerprinting (if SC resident <1 year), and provide 3 professional references

This role involves regular standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and hands-on support. Reasonable accommodations are available.
