Your Role:
The Assistant Residential Manager supports and helps coordinate the day-to-day operations of an assigned location within NeuLife. This role is responsible for carrying out duties in a professional, organized, and efficient manner to promote optimal resident outcomes and maintain a high level of satisfaction among both internal and external customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend team meetings, review incident reports, and communicate resident or staff concerns to leadership as needed
- Support, train, and mentor direct care staff to promote quality care and resident growth and independence
- Provide new hire orientation and ongoing staff training to ensure compliance with company policies and care standards
- Coordinate resident appointments, transportation, and appointment preparation as needed
- Maintain accurate medication documentation and ensure medications are administered and reconciled in accordance with company policy and applicable regulations
- Coordinate with pharmacies and medical providers to ensure prescriptions and medication records remain current and accurate
- Assist with meal planning, grocery budgeting, and household organization
- Monitor and support the emotional and physical well-being of residents while maintaining a safe and supportive environment
- Maintain program cleanliness, organization, and professionalism to promote a welcoming, home-like atmosphere
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid State of Michigan driver's license and insurable driving record
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Minimum of one year of experience working with developmentally disabled or catastrophically injured individuals, including those with traumatic brain injuries preferred
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and work independently
- Ability to safely perform physical tasks associated with resident care and support
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
- Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods throughout the workday
- Ability to operate computers, tablets, phones, and other office equipment as required
- Ability to lift, move, and/or transport objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely perform physical tasks related to resident care, support, and emergency intervention when necessary
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% as required for appointments, trainings, meetings, or program needs
