Maintenance Technician

IMMEDIATE job opportunity for a driven individual who has a proven track record of performance and desire to work for a well-established organization. We are looking for an experienced MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN for a grower, packer, and distributor of premium avocados with strategically placed distribution centers and sourcing regions located in Dallas, TX.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities 

• Install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Perform and test machinery features.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production, packing machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and proceed on planning for general maintenance.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions as needed.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED - Minimum 3 Years Industrial Maintenance Experience - Electrical Experience, preferred - Welding Experience, a plus

Skills

• Attention to Detail, Bilingual is a plus, but not required, Excellent verbal communication skills, Problem-solving skills, Ability to troubleshoot, Ability to follow instructions

License/Certifications - HVAC and Electrical Certifications, a plus

Compensation: $21 - 23/HR.
