Elementary School Social Worker Needed - Scranton, PA (Immediate Start + Renewal Opportunity)

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join an elementary school team in Scranton, PA. This full-time position supports students in grades K–4 within an emotional support setting. The role is available for an immediate start through June 9, 2026, with the opportunity to extend into the 2026–2027 school year.

Position Details:

• Location: Scranton, PA
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: June 9, 2026 (with potential extension for the next school year)
• Schedule: Full-Time
• Caseload: Elementary (K–4), emotional support
• Hourly Rate: $36+ (benefits available)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social-emotional support and counseling to students
• Develop and implement intervention strategies and behavior plans
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal development
• Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Social Worker license required
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
• Strong background in emotional/behavioral support
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
