Position Summary\n

We are seeking a qualified technologist specializing in MRI to perform all aspects of patient exam activities. This role is critical in producing high-quality images in accordance with established policies and procedures under general supervision.

\n\nEssential Functions and Responsibilities\n

• Conducts MRI diagnostic studies with a focus on quality and accuracy.
\n
• Obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns to enhance comfort and confidence.
\n
• Operates and maintains MRI scanning equipment, ensuring optimal functionality.
\n
• Positions patients accurately, selects appropriate equipment settings, and performs scanning procedures as requested by physicians.
\n
• Completes quality assurance processes, adhering to safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and self.
\n
• Keeps detailed documentation, logs, charts, forms, and records in both paper and electronic formats.
\n
• Maintains adequate supplies of consumables necessary for quality testing.
\n
• Performs routine maintenance and function checks on all imaging equipment following established protocols.
\n
• Assists in other areas of radiology as assigned to support overall operations.
\n
• Completes additional related duties as required and directed.
\n

\n\nJob Requirements\n

\n
• Previous MRI experience is required.
\n
• Experience working with pediatric and geriatric populations is essential.
\n
• Certification as an MRI technologist is required.
\n
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
\n

\n\nFacility Information\n

This position is located in Petoskey, MI, at a regional hospital that emphasizes comprehensive care across multiple specialties, including cardiology, cancer, orthopedics, and neurosciences. The facility has achieved recognition for nursing excellence and high standards in quality and safety.

\n\nAdditional Information\n

The technologist will work a guaranteed 40 hours per week, which includes weekend requirements.

The dress code consists of royal blue or red scrubs.

\n
