Job Description

A well-established hospital is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join their team in Rochester, Michigan. This role offers a dynamic and challenging environment in a 180-bed facility with 11 operating rooms, providing a wide range of services including cardiovascular, neuro, general, and more. The position involves rotating 8 or 10-hour day shifts, where you will conduct pre-anesthesia assessments, administer various types of anesthesia, and manage patients through their perioperative journey.

Key Details- Assignment Type: Locum Tenens- Setting: Hospital- Start Date: ASAP- Schedule: Rotating 8 or 10-hour day shifts- Patient Population: Mostly adult and geriatric; minimal pediatrics- Location: Rochester, MI- Stipends: Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates

Job Responsibilities- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized care plans- Administer general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care- Monitor patients during procedures and manage anesthesia-related complications- Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards

Qualifications- Current RN license and NBCRNA certification required- Master’s or Doctorate from an accredited nurse anesthesia program- Board certification required (AANA)- BLS, ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred- Active Michigan license required at the time of application- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills required- Accepting new graduates

Working Hours- Rotating 8 or 10-hour day shifts

Skills- Proficient in general surgical, obstetrical, and neurosurgical cases- Additional skills in arterial line insertion, IV insertions, and floor intubations preferred- Proficient in transitioning documentation systems, moving from paper to EMR (Epic)
