American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2+ years experience for a 13-week acute care assignment requiring ARRT or NMTCB certification.
Details\n- \n
- Acute care hospital setting in the Nuclear Medicine department \n
- Department has 4 scanners/rooms \n
- Common studies include cardiac, HIDA, gastric emptying, lung scans, thyroid uptake, and tilts \n
- Average of 12-15 scans/studies per day \n
- Uses Meditech Expanse EMR and AGFA IMPAX PACS \n
- Equipment includes 2 Siemens E-cam and 2 Philips Brightview systems \n
- Monday-Friday day shift 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, no self-scheduling \n
- Rotating weekend call coverage every 4th weekend (Friday 4:30 PM-7 AM, Saturday & Sunday 24 hours) \n
- Call requirement of one day per week when not on weekend call \n
- No floating to other departments required \n

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist \n
- ARRT or NMTCB certification required \n
- Certified Nuclear Cardiology Technologist (NMTCB-NCT) verification required \n
- BLS certification required \n
- WV State Licensure required if applicable \n
- Must be able to start IVs and perform EKGs \n
- Unexpired driver's license required for consideration \n

- Work under a Lead Tech with an in-house radiologist available \n
- Department-specific orientation provided \n
- Radiation badge must be provided by the agency, as the facility does not supply one \n
- Scrubs are not provided; black scrubs required with no embroidery, no t-shirts, and scrub jackets only if needed for warmth \n
- Closed-toe shoes required; no Crocs with holes or backs out \n
- First-time travelers may be considered \n
- Local candidates are not accepted; a 50-mile radius rule applies to this facility \n
