Position Summary

\n

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care across multiple units including ER, Med/Surg, and PCU. This role requires adaptability, independence, and the ability to function effectively in a small rural facility. The RN coordinates care planning with interdisciplinary teams, responds promptly to changes in patient condition, and ensures delivery of safe, compassionate, and evidence-based care.

Essential Functions

\n

\n
• Perform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and reassessments per policy across pediatric, geriatric, and general populations.
\n
• Assess and manage pain using appropriate techniques; educate patients and families on pain management.
\n
• Revise and evaluate individualized care plans daily based on patient response.
\n
• Administer medications safely, adhering to the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
\n
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical nursing services within scope of licensure.
\n
• Demonstrate knowledge of cardiac monitoring, identify dysrhythmias, and intervene per ACLS protocols.
\n
• Monitor hemodynamic status and interpret results accurately.
\n
• Provide care for patients with nutritional/metabolic compromise and fluid/electrolyte management needs.
\n
• Communicate effectively with charge nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams.
\n
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
\n
• Maintain flexibility, organization, and composure in high-stress situations.
\n
• Other duties as assigned.
\n

Requirements

\n

\n
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience – Required
\n
• High proficiency in ED, Med/Surg, and PCU – Required
\n
• Must be willing to float and serve as a resource across units – Required
\n
• Rural/small facility experience – Highly Preferred
\n
• COVID-19 vaccination – Required
\n
• Certifications:\n

  • ACLS (AHA) – Required
  \n
  • BLS (AHA) – Required
  \n
  • PALS or ENPC – Required within 6 months of hire
  \n
\n
• Licensure:\n
  \n
  • Valid New Hampshire RN license
  \n
  • Compact license accepted
