Position Overview:
\n We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EEG Technologist to join our healthcare team. The EEG Technologist is responsible for performing electroencephalographic (EEG) procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing neurological disorders. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in neurodiagnostic testing, patient care, and equipment operation while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities:

- Perform routine, portable, and continuous EEG studies on pediatric and adult patients as ordered by physicians. \n
- Prepare patients for EEG procedures by explaining the test, obtaining patient history, and applying electrodes according to standardized protocols. \n
- Monitor EEG recordings for quality and recognize abnormalities or technical issues during testing. \n
- Troubleshoot and maintain EEG equipment to ensure accurate test results. \n
- Document patient information, procedures, and technical findings accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). \n
- Assist physicians with long-term monitoring, video EEG, ambulatory EEG, and epilepsy monitoring when applicable. \n
- Maintain patient comfort and safety throughout testing procedures. \n
- Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and HIPAA guidelines. \n
- Collaborate with neurologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. \n
- Maintain supplies and ensure equipment is cleaned, calibrated, and functioning properly. \n
