Manual Machinist

About the Role:
EZG Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to set up and operate manual machines to produce precision parts. This role is ideal for someone who can read blueprints, work independently or with a team, and take pride in producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What you'll do:

• Set up and operate manual mills and lathes to produce precision parts.
• Perform machining operations based on blueprints and work instructions.
• Use equipment such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, hydraulic presses, band saws, and chop saws.
• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and materials for each job.
• Lay out and machine parts to required specifications and tolerances.
• Inspect finished parts using gauges and measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot setups and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure accuracy in all work.
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and precision.
• Experience with manual machining equipment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use precision measuring tools.
• Knowledge of metals, materials, and machining processes.
• Strong problem-solving and math skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
