Scheduling Coordinator

As a Scheduling Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional patient experience. Your responsibilities will include scheduling patient appointments, managing incoming calls, relaying messages, and supporting a variety of administrative functions. While the role requires on-site presence during the initial training period, it offers the potential to transition to remote work upon successful completion of training.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule patient appointments for various radiology procedures
• Verify patient demographics and appointment details, and update records accordingly
• Confirm appointments and provide patients with prep instructions and facility location
• Answer incoming phone lines promptly, screen calls, take messages, and relay information to fellow coworkers, physicians, and supervisors as needed
• Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Delaney scheduling protocols, radiology CPT and ICD-10 codes, and a thorough understanding of all information systems required to perform duties
• Follow up with referring physicians' offices for any information needed to schedule exams
• Communicate with the Insurance Authorization team regarding any changes in patient information or exams as necessary

Position Requirements:

• Minimum one year of customer service experience, preferably in a medical or radiology setting.
• Must possess strong communication skills, empathy, and patience.
• Attention to detail and accuracy are essential in this position, as is a commitment to confidentiality.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and health insurance processes is a plus.
