Job Description
Are you passionate about patient care and looking to grow your career in the medical field? Delaney Radiology is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to join our dedicated team!
As a Scheduling Coordinator, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional patient experience. Your responsibilities will include scheduling patient appointments, managing incoming calls, relaying messages, and supporting a variety of administrative functions. While the role requires on-site presence during the initial training period, it offers the potential to transition to remote work upon successful completion of training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments for various radiology procedures
- Verify patient demographics and appointment details, and update records accordingly
- Confirm appointments and provide patients with prep instructions and facility location
- Answer incoming phone lines promptly, screen calls, take messages, and relay information to fellow coworkers, physicians, and supervisors as needed
- Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Delaney scheduling protocols, radiology CPT and ICD-10 codes, and a thorough understanding of all information systems required to perform duties
- Follow up with referring physicians' offices for any information needed to schedule exams
- Communicate with the Insurance Authorization team regarding any changes in patient information or exams as necessary
Position Requirements:
- Minimum one year of customer service experience, preferably in a medical or radiology setting.
- Must possess strong communication skills, empathy, and patience.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are essential in this position, as is a commitment to confidentiality.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and health insurance processes is a plus.
