Job Description
The Enhancement Instructor - STEM will develop and implement a curriculum that will provide instruction and training for members of all ages and work at a variety of levels. Conducting a well- rounded STEM program that includes Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics by implementing programs that enable youth to become proficient in basic educational disciplines and apply learning to everyday situations.
Key Roles (Essential Responsibilities):
· Promote and stimulate interest in STEM and encourage participation by all members.
· Propose, adapt and conduct STEM lessons and program activities at Club site(s).
· Create an environment that facilities the achievement of STEM outcomes.
· Adhere to established time schedules.
· Ensure facilities, equipment and supplies are given proper care and maintenance

· Monitor and evaluate STEM programs, services and activities to ensure safety of members and quality in programs.
· Enforce Boys & Girls Club rules and program guidelines
· Participate in staff meetings
· Perform other duties that may be assigned to meet the needs of the Boys & Girls Club.
Relationships:
- Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer) Club members, and supervisor to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
- External: Maintain contact and build relationships with community groups, schools external staff and volunteers, donors and others to recruit or to assist in resolving challenges.
Skills / Knowledge Required:
· High School diploma or GED, Preferably an Associate Degree in education or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
· Florida Teaching Certificate a Plus
· 1 – 2 years’ experience working with children in STEM.
· Strong computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word required),
· Strong organization skills
· Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
· Valid Florida driver’s license – able to meet insurance requirements (drive to different Club Sites and Administrative Office and/or off-site meetings/training as required for the position) – CDL Class B License with P&S endorsement is a plus.
