About the Role

Are you a culinary professional who loves working with fresh, high-quality ingredients? Our Greenville store is looking for an experienced Deli Cook to join our team.

In this role, you won't just be "making sandwiches"—you’ll be the talent behind our signature hot bar, fresh salads, and prepared grab-and-go meals. If you have experience in a fast-paced kitchen and take pride in the flavor and presentation of your food, we want to meet you!

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Food Prep: Execute the daily deli menu, including roasting meats, preparing hot entrees, mixing gourmet salads, and assembling signature sandwiches.
• Kitchen Excellence: Operate standard deli-style equipment (slicers, ovens, fryers, and stovetops) safely and efficiently.
• Quality Control: Ensure all food is prepared to our "healthy supermarket" standards—fresh, flavorful, and visually appealing.
• Food Safety: Maintain a spotless kitchen. You will follow strict health department guidelines, monitor food temperatures, and ensure proper labeling and rotation (FIFO).
• Inventory Support: Help monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify management when supplies are running low.

Qualifications

• Proven Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen (Deli, Café, or Restaurant environment).
• Menu Mastery: Demonstrated ability to prep and cook typical deli items such as soups, pasta salads, rotisserie items, and hot sides.
• Knife Skills: Proficient in chopping, slicing, and dicing quickly and safely.
• Team Player: Ability to coordinate with deli counter staff to ensure customer orders are filled promptly.
• Reliability: A consistent track record of showing up for your shifts and working well under pressure during the "lunch rush."
