Role Overview

The Transportation Concierge serves as the real-time, in-person point of contact for employee riders at designated transportation locations. This role is responsible for ensuring a safe, welcoming, and efficient rider experience by authenticating riders, coordinating vehicle hailing, managing light crowd control, and supporting riders during service disruptions or emergencies. Success in this role requires strong customer service skills, empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm and professional in dynamic or high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold a safety-centric, inclusive, and open-communication culture at all times
• Greet riders and provide a warm, professional, and welcoming experience
• Authenticate riders using badge scanning systems
• Hail vehicles between designated locations as needed
• Communicate service updates and operational information clearly and accurately
• Coordinate with cross-functional operations partners using internal communication tools
• Perform light crowd control to maintain orderly and safe transportation areas
• Assist riders with next steps during service disruptions or emergency situations
• Adapt to flexible shift schedules and varying work locations based on business needs

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, retail, or another customer-facing role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering a positive rider experience
• High attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols accurately
• Proactive, resourceful, and able to take initiative in real-time situations
• Ability to adapt to schedule changes based on operational needs

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and remain on feet for extended periods, often outdoors
• Ability to lift and carry moderate loads as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in high-stress or fast-paced environments
• Knowledge of de-escalation techniques and managing challenging situations calmly and professionally
