Local Nursery Stock Driver

We are seeking a nursery stock delivery driver to join our team! You will be responsible for safely operating a truck with a capacity of up to 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). Kaspar Nursery LLC is a leading provider of trees and nursery stock to the Omaha metro and surrounding area. We currently utilize a number of truck/trailer combos, and a 24' box delivery truck. Driver will need to be able to navigate the Omaha area streets, but other towns/cities as needed (including places such as: Lincoln, NE; Sioux City, IA; Des Moines, IA. A CDL is not required for this position.

Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a truck-trailer (pickup) and straight cargo truck.
• Assist in the loading and unloading cargo as needed.
• Report any issues or incidents to management.
• Inspect truck before and after trip

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in truck driving, specifically pickup-trailer combos including 20'-30' over the wheel trailers and 35' goose-neck trailers. Any size of straight box truck with lift-gate.
• Commercial driver's license preferred, but not required.
• Ability to handle physical workload
• Strong work ethic.
• Reliable transportation to/from farm site.
• Ability to work overtime as needed during busy seasons in the spring and fall.
• Flexibility to perform other work as needed while not performing deliveries.
