How you'll make an impact
As our Insurance Accountant, you will play a key role in producing complete, audit‑ready financials and ensuring our financial reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant. Your responsibilities will include:
Financial Reporting & Analysis
Prepare schedules supporting Trial Balance account balances and reconcile differences
Review and reconcile expenses to ensure proper recording
Analyze monthly balance sheets and income statements for accuracy
Maintain a deep understanding of G/L account balances and their financial statement groupings
Create supporting documentation and annual rotating footnotes
Leadership & Mentorship
Mentor and train staff accountants on assigned responsibilities
Provide guidance on footnotes, documentation, and accounting processes
Support management with explanations of account balances and transactions
Problem Solving & Process Improvement
Analyze accounting issues and develop effective solutions
Identify opportunities to improve accounting efficiency and drive improvements to completion
Manage assigned projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while keeping leadership informed
Organization & Compliance
Maintain a well‑organized financial data and document warehouse
Ensure all financials are audit‑ready and prepared for management review
Perform other duties as assigned

About You
Required: Bachelor's degree (Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration) and 2 years of related experience required.

Confident in mentoring and training junior staff
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and proactive
A strong communicator who can explain financial information clearly

Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

We offer a competitive and comprehensive compensation package. The base salary range represents the anticipated low end and high end of the range for this position. The actual compensation will be influenced by a wide range of factors including, but not limited to previous experience, education, pay market/geography, complexity or scope, specialized skill set, lines of business/practice area, supply/demand, and scheduled hours.
