Locums - Rochester, Michigan, CRNA Opening (Welcome New Grads)
Start Date: ASAP
Current Start Date: 6/15/26
Assignment Length: Ongoing Need
Schedule & Shift Details:
- Day shifts only
- 7:00am–3:00pm
- 8-hour or 10-hour shifts available
Practice Setting:
- Hospital-based practice
- 180-bed facility
- 11 operating rooms
- Supervision model: 1 MDA to 4 CRNAs
- Average surgical cases per day: 35
- Trauma Level III
Clinical Coverage Includes:
- Cardiovascular
- Vascular
- Neuro
- General Surgery
- ENT (limited pediatrics)
- Urology
- Orthopedics
- Robotic Surgery
- Colo-Rectal
- Podiatry
- Plastic Surgery
Out-of-Department Services:
- Non-invasive Cardiology
- OB
- Endoscopy
- Radiology (CT & MRI)
Responsibilities:
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop care plans
- Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care
- Monitor patients during procedures and manage anesthesia complications
- Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management
- Maintain accurate documentation according to hospital and regulatory standards
Required Procedures & Skills:
- Adult general surgical anesthesia
- Obstetrical cases
- Neurosurgical cases
- Arterial line insertion
- IV insertions
- Floor intubations
Support & Documentation:
- OR staffing includes RNs and scrub techs
- Documentation currently paper charting; transitioning to Epic in June 2026
- Annual ER volume around 80
Patient Population:
- Mostly adult and geriatric
- Minimal pediatrics
Requirements:
- Board Certified CRNA – Required
- Active Michigan license – Required
- Clean background – Required
- Current RN license and NBCRNA certification required
- Graduation from accredited anesthesia program required
- Master’s or Doctorate from accredited nurse anesthesia program required
- BLS and ACLS preferred
- PALS preferred
- New graduates accepted
