Job Summary:
\n In this position, the Registered Nurse has primary responsibility and accountability for the nursing care and safety of patients who are undergoing an endoscopic and/or invasive procedure with or without sedation. This nurse demonstrates skills in interpersonal relationships, critical thinking, and efficiency, serves as a resource to students and new caregivers, and is involved in the quality improvement process.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience with the technical portion of GI equipment.
\n
• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team to achieve patient-focused outcomes.
\n
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
\n
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret technical procedures and government regulations.
\n
• Effective communication skills for presenting information and responding to questions from managers, clients, and the public.
\n
• Mathematical proficiency, including basic algebra and geometry.
\n
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
\n
• Regular attendance during scheduled shifts is required.
\n

Required Education:

• ASN or Nursing Diploma.
\n

\n

Required Certification & Licensure:

\n

\n
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
\n
• BLS (AHA).
\n
• ACLS (AHA).
\n
• Valid compact licenses must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of the start of employment.
