Job Description
Overview
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator I is responsible for maintaining and organizing the efficient flow of inventory and materials into and out of the Grantsville shop facilities. This role supports continuous production by coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, loading and unloading delivery trucks, and ensuring materials are accurately received, stored, and distributed in a timely and systematic manner.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of shipping and receiving processes, demonstrate solid organizational skills, and develop a working knowledge of Pillar Innovations’ products and services. This position requires flexibility and a willingness to work extended hours, including overtime, to meet operational demands and support project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload delivery trucks
- Transport and locate equipment and materials to required areas safely and efficiently
- Stage or kit materials for production teams to increase production
- Package and kit materials for shipment to customers
- Rig, lift, and transport materials in accordance with company safety standards
- Transport and deliver materials to customer sites and company locations as required
Working Conditions
- Climb, balance, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and handle materials
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Repetitively lift, bend, and squat
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather for extended periods of time
Qualifications
- Experience with the processes and procedures related to purchasing, receiving, shipping and inventory control preferred
- Valid driver’s license and ability to qualify as a DOT Operator 10 required
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A is preferred but not required
- Certified or ability to be certified in the operation of forklifts, telehandlers, manlifts, yard trucks, overhead cranes, etc.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize competing work assignments
