Summary
A well-established mechanical services contractor is seeking a General Manager to oversee daily operations across service, sales, and field teams. This role will help drive operational performance, team development, customer satisfaction, and overall department growth across both commercial and residential service work.
This is a strong opportunity for someone with operations leadership experience who enjoys building teams, improving processes, and helping grow a stable service department with long-term backing and support.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day HVAC service operations
• Manage field teams, service coordinators, and department performance
• Support scheduling, workflow efficiency, and operational processes
• Monitor budgets, profitability, and department performance metrics
• Lead technician development, coaching, and weekly team meetings
• Support hiring, onboarding, and retention efforts
• Promote a strong safety-focused culture throughout operations
• Work closely with leadership on department growth and strategy
• Assist with customer escalations, proposals, and service-related sales support
• Review reporting, performance trends, and operational improvements
• Coordinate with HR regarding employee matters and team development
Requirements
• 4+ years of HVAC operations or general management experience
• Prior leadership experience managing technicians and service staff
• Experience with budgeting, operations oversight, and team development
• Exposure to service sales, proposals, or customer-facing operations preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
