Food Runner at The Back Porch

The Back Porch in Royse City, TX is looking for one food runner to join our 41 person strong team. We are located on 7508 Co Rd 2584. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable.

Position Overview

The Food Runner plays a critical role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience by delivering food promptly, assisting servers with guest needs, maintaining cleanliness in the dining areas, and supporting overall restaurant operations. This is a fast-paced position ideal for individuals who are energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Delivery: Efficiently and accurately deliver food and beverage items from the kitchen to guests at their tables, ensuring proper presentation and guest satisfaction.

• Table Assistance: Support servers by refilling drinks, bringing condiments, and responding to guest requests in a timely manner.

• Bussing Duties: Assist in clearing and resetting tables quickly and neatly to maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment.

• General Restaurant Support: Perform various tasks around the restaurant including stocking supplies, polishing silverware, assisting with takeout orders, and maintaining cleanliness in service areas.

• Guest Interaction: Engage warmly with guests, providing a friendly and approachable presence and assisting in addressing guest concerns or needs.

• Teamwork: Work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations and seamless service.

• Cleanliness Standards: Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization in all areas of the restaurant, following health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food runner, busser, or similar hospitality role preferred but not required.

• Ability to stay organized and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Professional appearance and demeanor.

• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy trays for extended periods.

• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
