Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Inpatient Surgical Med/Surg position in Albany, GA, requiring at least 2 years of experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details\n

\n
• Acute care hospital setting with a 483-bed main campus
\n
• Inpatient Surgical Med/Surg unit with floating to Ortho/Neuro, Oncology, Acute Care, and JFW units
\n
• Patient ratio of 1:6, with CNA support generally at 1:8 to 1:10
\n
• Patient population includes general med/surg diagnoses with telemetry monitoring available on other units
\n
• Ventilator equipment on unit includes BIPAP, CPAP, Vapotherm, and Draeger (used at night only)
\n
• PICC line access available; no dedicated IV team
\n
• RT and Pharmacy support available 24/7
\n
• EMR system: MEDITECH
\n
• 12-hour day shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:00 PM
\n
• Every other weekend required
\n
• On-call for low census
\n
• Holiday rotation with permanent staff
\n
• Floating required within the assigned unit cluster
\n

Requirements\n

\n
• Active RN license in Georgia (GA state or Compact)
\n
• Current certifications required: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS
\n
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
\n
• At least 1 prior travel assignment required
\n
• MEDITECH EMR experience preferred
\n
• Must be flexible with changing assignments during the shift
\n
• A valid driver's license is required for consideration
\n

• Floor-specific orientation provided (16 hours)
\n
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
\n
• Candidates who have been employed by this facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

• RTO requests are honored only if submitted and confirmed at the time of assignment

• First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
