VFW Post 7555.

The Mission: We arent just a bar and restaurantwe are a 501(c)(19) non-profit
dedicated to US Military Veterans and their families. Your mission is to ensure our
"Club" remains a welcoming, safe, and thriving "home away from home" for our
members and guests.
The Role: This is a salaried position (4045 hours per week) that offers a rare perk in
the hospitality world: a primarily Monday through Friday (8am4pm) schedule. While
youll need to be present for our big events and weekend celebrations, we believe in
work-life balance and offer flexible scheduling to compensate for weekend hours.
What Youll Do:
Lead the Team: Hire, train, and mentor a dedicated staff who share our values.
Run the Business: From inventory and P&L reporting and social media marketing.
Ensure Excellence: Keep our bar, kitchen, and hall clean, compliant, and profitable.
Be the Face of the Club: Engage with Veterans, coordinate patriotic events, and
create a welcoming place.
Who You Are:
A seasoned manager with experience in bar, restaurant, or club operations.
A "player-coach" who isnt afraid to jump behind the bar or help the kitchen during a
rush.
Financially savvy, with an eye for detail in budgeting and payroll.
A communicator who can work effectively with our Commander and House
Committee.
Physical Requirements: This is a "hands-on" leadership role. Candidates should be
comfortable standing for extended periods and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs as needed
to support the team and maintain the facility.

Salary and Benefits: $65,000 annually, 120 PTO hours, a 3% match on your 401(k),

Job Description
Position Title: Club Manager
Reports To: Post Commander
Classification: Full-Time, Exempt (Salaried)
Schedule: Primarily M-F, 8:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. (Flexibility required for evening/
weekend events)
Position Summary
The Club Manager oversees the daily operations of the VFW Posts canteen, kitchen,
and banquet facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring a high standard of service for
Veterans, their families, and guests, while maintaining profitability, regulatory
compliance, and a positive community presence.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Club Operations & Inventory Management
Direct oversight of the Bar, Kitchen, Restaurant, and Community Room (lower level).
Manage procurement, inventory control, and vendor relations for food and liquor.
Ensure all facilities meet health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Provide monthly reporting to the House Committee regarding P&L, operations, and
capital needs.
2. Personnel Leadership & Supervision
Lead the full employee lifecycle: recruiting, hiring, training, and performance
management.
Conduct annual performance reviews and recommend merit increases.
Ensure all staff are trained in local liquor laws, safety protocols, and Club Rules.
Maintain "hands-on" flexibility to fill subordinate roles as needed to ensure seamless
service.
3. Financial & Administrative Stewardship
Manage daily bank deposits, billing, invoicing, and account reconciliations.
Coordinate with the Post Accountant and Quartermaster to ensure financial accuracy.
Oversee end-to-end payroll administration via the third-party payroll vendor to ensure
the timely and accurate processing of employee wages and tip reporting. Oversee the
correct withholding and remittance with all tax withholding requirements, including
FICA (Social Security and Medicare), in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Maintain all necessary licensing and insurance as required by VFW National and
state/local agencies (OSHA, MN Health Department, etc.).
4. Marketing & Community Outreach
Develop and execute marketing strategies via social media and local media to drive
business.
Coordinate patriotic events and holidays to honor the VFW mission.
Gather patron feedback to continuously improve service standards.
5. Property & Asset Management
Maintain accountability for all real property and capital assets.
Schedule and oversee routine cleaning, maintenance, and necessary repairs for all
Club areas.
Physical Requirements
1. Stamina & Mobility
Standing/Walking: Ability to remain on feet for extended periods (up to 8 hours) while
supervising staff or working events.
Movement: Frequent walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and climbing (including
the use of a step-ladder) to access storage or inspect property.
2. Strength & Lifting
Lifting: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently (e.g., cases of liquor, food
supplies, or small furniture for event setup).
Pushing/Pulling: Ability to maneuver heavy items such as beer kegs (with the use of
a hand truck or dolly) and banquet tables.
3. Environmental Adaptability
Temperature Variance: Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures,
including commercial kitchens (heat) and walk-in coolers/freezers (cold).
Noise Levels: Ability to perform duties effectively in a loud environment, especially
during high-capacity events or live entertainment.
4. Vision & Coordination
Manual Dexterity: Sufficient coordination to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system,
handle cash, use kitchen equipment safely, and perform administrative tasks on a
computer.
Sensory Awareness: Ability to visually inspect the facility for cleanliness/safety and
monitor the premises for liquor law compliance (checking IDs and observing patron behavior).
