Senior Litigator

About the Role

The Senior Litigator is a seasoned trial attorney responsible for leading complex civil litigation matters from inception through resolution. This role includes strategic case oversight, courtroom advocacy, client counseling, and mentorship of junior attorneys. The practice includes contract disputes, real estate litigation, commercial litigation, tort matters, and related business disputes. A portable book of business is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of complex civil litigation, including strategy development and risk analysis
• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and depositions
• Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, and appellate briefs
• Oversee discovery strategy, document review, and deposition preparation
• Negotiate settlements and advise clients on litigation exposure
• Mentor and supervise junior associates and litigation staff
• Manage client relationships and maintain high levels of client service
• Contribute to business development efforts and firm growth initiatives

Qualifications

• Active member in good standing with the Arizona State Bar
• 10+ years of civil litigation experience
• Significant courtroom and deposition experience
• Strong motion practice and trial preparation background
• Appellate or federal court clerkship preferred
• Book of portable business preferred
• Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills
