A healthcare facility in Bellingham, Washington is seeking a Gastroenterologist for locum coverage.

Compensation: $500hr

Position Details

Specialty: Gastroenterology

Practice Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient

Coverage Type: Scheduled clinic/endoscopy coverage with optional call coverage

Schedule:

8–9 hour day shifts in ambulatory clinic and endoscopy setting

Optional 24-hour weekday and weekend call/hospitalist shifts

Expected Assignment Duration: Approximately 6 months

Reason for Coverage: Gap in coverage

Clinical Responsibilities

Outpatient gastroenterology clinic coverage

Endoscopy procedures

Hospital rounding and admissions

Inpatient and outpatient GI procedures

Consultative gastroenterology services

ERCP procedures required

Patient Volume

Clinic: Approximately 16 patients per day

Outpatient Endoscopy Center: 14–16 patients per day

Hospital census varies

Adult patient population only

Acute care hospital setting

Approximately 253 inpatient beds

EMR: Epic

Provation GI software preferred

Practice Environment

Collaborative GI physician group

Providers do not work solo

Requirements

Board Certified in Gastroenterology

ACLS certification required

Washington license preferred

IMLC candidates accepted

Epic EMR experience preferred

Required Clinical Experience

Recent gastroenterology clinical activity within the previous 24 months representative of requested privileges

ERCP experience required

Minimum of 50 successful ERCP procedures within the past 2 years required for maintenance of privileges

Additional Requirements

Providers requesting double balloon enteroscopy or capsule endoscopy privileges must provide applicable training and competency documentation if requested
