Job Summary:
The inpatient Physical Therapist (PT) position is based in Woodland, California. This role involves providing physical therapy services in a home health setting, focusing on assessments, therapeutic interventions, and patient education according to a physicians plan of care. The position offers a consistent schedule with typically one Saturday workday per month, supporting outpatient rehabilitation needs in the designated service area.
Job Details:
- Location: Woodland, California, serving the Yolo County area, including cities such as Davis, Yolo, Dunnigan, Arbuckle, West Sacramento, Natomas, Knights Landing, Capay, Vacaville, Winters, and Esparto.
- Shift Schedule: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., typically one Saturday per month.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as a Physical Therapists (PT); BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification; minimum of 2 years of experience as a PT in an acute, home care, or rehabilitation setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: Good oral and written communication skills; organizational skills; experience evaluating home environments and working with prosthetic devices is advantageous.
- Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing therapeutic plans of care, instructing patients and families, supervising Home Health Aides, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- The position requires strong documentation skills, participation in peer reviews, and ongoing competency assessments.
