Position Overview
A leading New York healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Travel MRI Technologist for an 8‑week assignment. This role is ideal for a clinically strong MRI Tech who is comfortable working rotating 12‑hour shifts in a high‑volume, fast‑paced imaging environment. The technologist will perform high‑quality MRI examinations, ensure patient safety, and collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to support efficient workflow and exceptional patient care.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program
- Active New York State Radiography License
- NYS certification to inject contrast media
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R)
- ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
- Maintains continuing education credits per ARRT requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Diagnostic Imaging
- Proficiency with EMR, RIS, HIS, PACS, and modality‑specific software
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant experience specifically in MRI

- Perform high‑quality MRI scans following established protocols and safety standards
- Screen patients for MRI contraindications and ensure proper positioning and comfort
- Administer contrast media in accordance with NYS certification requirements
- Collaborate with radiologists to support accurate and timely diagnostic interpretation
- Maintain accurate electronic documentation within EMR, RIS, HIS, and PACS systems
- Ensure equipment readiness, troubleshoot minor issues, and report service needs
