Job Summary
We are seeking professional and reliable Event Security Officers to join our team on a per diem basis. In this role, your primary responsibility is to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, and vendors during events.
Event Security Officers will be responsible for maintaining a visible presence, managing access control, and responding to incidents as they arise. The ideal candidate is professional, alert, and capable of handling high-traffic environments with strong customer service and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a strong and visible security presence throughout the event
- Monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized individuals gain access
- Perform bag checks and credential verification as required
- Assist with crowd control and ensure orderly conduct of guests
- Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies
- De-escalate conflicts in a calm and professional manner
- Communicate effectively with event staff, management, and local authorities if needed
- Monitor assigned areas to identify and report suspicious activity
- Complete incident reports and required documentation
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, event staff, or a related field preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong understanding of public safety and security procedures
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in fast-paced environments
- High level of integrity and professionalism
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
