About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Perfusionist to join a highly specialized cardiac surgery team in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
This role is responsible for operating cardiopulmonary bypass equipment and managing extracorporeal circulation during cardiac surgical procedures. Additional responsibilities include supporting cell saver procedures for orthopedic, cardiac, and neurosurgical cases.
Both experienced perfusionists and strong new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perfusion support during cardiac surgical procedures
- Operate and monitor heart-lung machines and extracorporeal circulation systems
- Prepare perfusion circuits, prime solutions, and surgical equipment
- Monitor patient responses during cardiopulmonary bypass
- Support cell saver procedures for multiple surgical specialties
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and documentation standards
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR teams
- Perform equipment checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Qualifications
Required
- Degree from an accredited Health Science or Perfusion program
- Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited perfusion program
- Current Oklahoma Perfusionist license OR eligibility to obtain Oklahoma licensure
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-acuity surgical environments
Preferred
- 1–2 years of perfusion experience
- Cardiac surgery experience preferred
- New graduates welcome
