Location: Juncos, Puerto Rico

Eligibility: Open to Puerto Rico Residents

Work Schedule: Onsite – Administrative Shift

Contract Duration: 5 Months

Openings: 1 Position


Summary

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Process Development Scientist to conceive, design, implement, and execute scientific experiments that contribute to the successful completion of project goals and initiatives under the general guidance of the supervisor. The selected candidate will support process development activities within a regulated industry environment while ensuring compliance with applicable procedures, protocols, and regulatory requirements.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Educational background in Science or related discipline
  • Experience working in a regulated industry environment
  • Proficiency in creating and executing validation and qualification documentation
  • Experience supporting vision inspection qualifications and characterization activities
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers and cross-functional teams across multiple sites
  • Knowledge of automated vision inspection systems is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of CSV (Computer System Validation) is a plus
  • Experience supporting CQV documentation and execution is a plus


Additional Considerations

  • Must be willing to work regular business hours, night shifts, and/or weekends, as required to meet project timelines and business needs


Essential Functions

  • Conceive, design, execute, evaluate, and interpret experimental strategies
  • Provide input into new processes to generate robust and reliable data
  • Ensure studies are conducted in compliance with approved protocols, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • Design, monitor, and conduct experiments under general supervision
  • Analyze and interpret scientific data and assess project impact
  • Maintain current knowledge in scientific expertise and relevant technologies
  • Monitor industry trends, scientific literature, and technological developments, communicating relevant findings as appropriate
  • Introduce advanced scientific methods and innovative approaches when applicable
  • Develop and implement new protocols to address specific scientific or operational challenges
  • Represent the department on project teams under the guidance of senior scientific staff
  • Collaborate effectively within and outside the department to support project objectives
  • Provide guidance in experimental design, data interpretation, troubleshooting, and implementation of solutions
  • Independently author scientific reports, summary documents, complex regulatory documentation, invention disclosures, and/or patent-related documents
  • Participate in external scientific and professional communities
  • Support department-wide initiatives such as safety programs, recruiting efforts, and committee participation
  • Develop leadership, mentoring, and supervisory skills
  • Establish and manage timelines to ensure successful completion of project deliverables


Education Requirements

  • Doctorate Degree OR
  • Master’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of scientific experience OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of scientific experience
