Adjunct Nail Tech Professor

Adjunct Nail Tech Professor: Responsible for instructing face-to-face classes and training students in various manicure techniques, nail care, and nail art skills. This position works to ensure that students reach learning outcomes.
The salary for this position is $700 per credit hour.

Adjunct Nail Tech Professor: Responsible for instructing face-to-face classes and training students in various manicure techniques, nail care, and nail art skills. This position works to ensure that students reach learning outcomes.
The salary for this position is $700 per credit hour.
Responsibilities:
- 75% Teaches no more than 9 credit hours per semester.
- 10% Works as a team member in the Cosmetology Department; complies with all faculty responsibilities as outlined in college policies and procedures.
- 10% Contributes to campus assessment process by measuring and reporting student learning outcomes as directed to meet THECB Core Objectives and SACSCOC requirements.
- 5% Performs other duties as assigned by the Dean and Department Chair.

- Uses a wide range of learning resources, tools, and technologies to improve access and student success in higher education.
- Provides quality instruction in a classroom or online learning environment.

- Assesses student knowledge, skills, and abilities regardless of how or where the learning or skills were acquired.

- Must hold a current Texas Cosmetologist license.
- Requires two years work experience in Cosmetology. Nail Tech experience is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a practicing manicurist.
- Prior experience in teaching or training, preferably in a manicuring or cosmetology education setting, is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of manicuring principles, practices, and industry trends.
- Demonstrated ability to engage students in the learning process and proven commitment to student success.
- Collegial attitude with college community as well as outside entities.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments.
- Excellent computer and multi-media skills.
- This position requires moderate physical exertion such as long periods of standing and repetitively lifting lightweight objects with frequent bending or stooping.
