Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel CT Scan Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a night shift position at a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center in Albany, NY.
Details
- Work in the Radiology department of a Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center
- Patient population includes outpatients, inpatients (stable and ICU-level), emergency and trauma patients, research patients, and those requiring CT-guided procedures
- Sunday through Wednesday, four 10-hour night shifts from 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM
- No on-call responsibilities
- Epic EMR experience required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent CT Scan Technologist experience
- Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School
- ARRT registration required
- Active NY State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or a limited permit to practice in New York (license required if applicable)
- Current BLS certification from AHA or RQI
- Epic EMR experience required
- US Social Security Number required
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- Flu vaccination required; only medical exemptions signed by a licensed professional are accepted — personal and religious declinations are not permitted
Additional Information
- Perform CT exams across a broad patient population including trauma, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and CT-guided specialized procedures
- Technologists are expected to support teaching and stay current as imaging technology evolves
- Practice and enforce radiation safety measures in accordance with New York State Department of Health code part 16
- Candidates residing in the following counties are not eligible: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren, and Washington
- RTO must be requested at the time of submission
- Any time off requests must be disclosed upfront — no blocked scheduling is permitted
- More than 3 call-outs in a 13-week period may result in contract termination; make-up shifts must be completed within 6 weeks of the last call-out
