Saw Operator

Davis Staffing is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Saw Operator to join our customer's production team on 3rd shift. This role is responsible for operating industrial saw equipment (primarily bandsaws) to cut steel materials to customer specifications while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Job Qualifications Include:

• Previous experience operating a bandsaw or similar equipment preferred

• Experience in a steel or metal manufacturing environment is a plus

• Ability to read a tape measure accurately

• Basic math skills and attention to detail

• Experience with overhead crane or forklift is a plus

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Comfortable working in a production setting that may not be climate controlled

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Operate bandsaw and other cutting equipment to cut steel materials accurately based on work orders

• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and tape measurements to ensure correct specifications

• Set up materials, adjust machine settings, and monitor cutting process for quality and efficiency

• Perform basic machine maintenance and keep equipment clean and in good working condition

• Inspect finished materials to ensure they meet quality standards

• Safely move materials using overhead crane or forklift (if certified)

• Assist with general production tasks, including grinding, deburring, and material handling

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Follow all safety guidelines and PPE requirements in a non-climate-controlled environment

Job Details Include:

• 3rd shift

• 11 pm - 7:30 am

• $20 an hour

• Steel toe boots
