• Approximately 3,240 Annual Admissions
• No Trauma Designation
• Normal Acuity Patient Population

Schedule Details

• Rotational Schedule
• 10-Hour Shift Structure
• Day, Mid, and Night Shift Coverage
• No Call
• Flexible Ongoing Coverage Needs

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat standard Emergency Department presentations
• Perform routine Emergency Medicine procedures
• Collaborate with APPs and nursing support staff
• Stabilize and manage emergency patients across a broad community ED setting
• Coordinate admissions and outpatient follow-up as appropriate
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation

Practice Environment

• Community hospital Emergency Department

• Standard Emergency Medicine patient mix

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians preferred
• Board Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physicians with recent Emergency Medicine experience considered
• Active Kentucky License preferred
• DEA Required
• ATLS, ACLS, and PALS required for non-ABEM physicians
• Standard Emergency Medicine procedural competency required
• Clean files strongly preferred for expedited credentialing and temporary privileges
