Industrial Forklift Operator

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Industrial Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Olyphant, PA. In this role, you will be responsible for loading, unloading, moving, storing, and tracking materials throughout the facility while helping maintain an organized, efficient, and safety-compliant operation.

Position Overview

The Industrial Forklift Operator plays a key role in warehouse and production support by safely handling inbound and outbound materials, relocating inventory, stacking products, and maintaining accurate counts. This position requires strong forklift operating skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.

Qualified candidates should have prior forklift experience, including high-reach operation and bulk stacking. Candidates must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment that may become hot depending on weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-shift inspections of forklifts and material handling equipment to verify safe operating condition and identify repair needs.

• Document required pre-use checks in the designated system or vehicle logbook.

• Report equipment faults, safety concerns, and breakdowns promptly to the appropriate lead or supervisor.

• Verify incoming shipments for quantity and condition, and record receiving information accurately.

• Unload raw materials, packaging, and finished goods from incoming trucks and place them in assigned storage locations.

• Prepare and complete orders for distribution while following quality standards and work instructions.

• Ensure pallets are properly secured, labeled, and staged for safe transport.

• Load trucks and transport materials throughout the warehouse in accordance with safety procedures and operational instructions.

• Use RF scanning and inventory systems accurately to support product tracking and inventory control.

• Deliver materials to production areas while following FIFO procedures.

• Operate additional material handling equipment, including low-lift pallet trucks, as needed.

• Maintain forklifts and equipment in clean condition in accordance with company standards.

• Assist with general warehouse duties, housekeeping, stock counts, and packaging material sorting when forklift operation is not required.

• Safely exchange gas cylinders, refuel equipment, or recharge batteries based on equipment type.

• Follow all plant GMP, BRC, and workplace safety requirements.

• Perform other related duties as assigned to support warehouse and production operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of forklift experience preferred, including propane, gas, or diesel-powered equipment.

• Experience operating high-reach forklifts and performing bulk stacking preferred.

• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other warehouse material handling equipment.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

• Basic math skills and attention to detail.

• Working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, and SAP or similar inventory systems preferred.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Engineering or technical education is a plus, but not required.

Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM and 7:00 PM-7:00 AM
