Restaurant Manager Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of full-service restaurant management experience
  • Proven ability to lead FOH operations in a high-volume environment
  • Strong background in staffing, scheduling, labor management, and cost controls
  • Experience training, coaching, and developing hourly team members
  • Ability to maintain service standards and resolve guest concerns professionally
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities during high-energy service periods

Restaurant Manager Preferred Background and Skills

  • Experience in casual dining, sports bar, or high-volume restaurant concepts
  • Strong understanding of sales performance and financial accountability
  • Ability to foster a positive, team-oriented culture
  • Hands-on leadership style with strong floor presence during peak service
