\nRN - MedSurg
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Float Pool position requiring flexibility to work anywhere in the hospital with MedSurg patients
\n• Shift times: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM (nights) or 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM (days)
\n• Weekend rotation every other weekend required
\n• Holiday expectations: may work 50% of holidays during contract
\n• Patient ratios: Days 1:4-6, Nights 1:6
\n• Minimum 2 years MedSurg experience required
\n• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
\n• EPIC experience required
\n• Skills required: chest tubes, stable trach management, IV skills, port/central lines, CPAP/BiPAP/Airvo knowledge, foley insertion/care, feeding tubes, cardiac rhythm interpretation
\n• Titrating drips experience needed: Cardizem, amiodarone, insulin, argatroban
\n• Care for diverse patient population including oncology, surgical, general medical, ortho/neuro, and cardiac patients
\n• Will frequently float to ER Holding/Boarding areas
\n• One full shift orientation plus one 12-hour unit orientation
\n• Schedule made 4-6 weeks in advance, received 2 weeks prior
\n• Dress code: any solid color scrubs, professional appearance, no graphics or logos
\n• No on-call responsibilities
\n• First-time travelers accepted

The facility features modern technology including EPIC electronic medical records, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems. The organization maintains a traveler-friendly culture with strong teamwork atmosphere and provides 24/7 support including hospitalist coverage, respiratory therapy, and phlebotomy services.
