American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular ICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience at a Level 1 Trauma Center and an active IL RN license.
Details- Hospital-based ICU setting with floating responsibilities to the Step-Down ICU unit
- Patient population includes cardiovascular, critical care, coronary, and neurological ICU cases
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 13-week contract
- Active IL RN license currently in hand
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience, specifically at a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Current certifications required: BLS and ACLS
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process and collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to develop and execute individualized patient care plans
- Administers medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, standards of care, and applicable state laws
- Participates in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance
- Applies critical thinking to patient safety and experience, escalating concerns through the appropriate chain of command
- Must be willing to float down to the Step-Down ICU as needed
