Aptive Resources is seeking a local contract nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Cleveland, Ohio.

Compensation: Starting at $52.00/-55.00/hr plus $5.09 for Health and Wellness; can vary based on ICU assigned to.
Position Summary
The ICU RN delivers critical care to patients with life-threatening conditions requiring continuous monitoring and advanced interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage critically ill patients 24/7
- Operate and manage life-support equipment (ventilators, CRRT, IABP, etc.)
- Administer complex medications and therapies
- Perform rapid assessments and respond to emergencies
- Collaborate with intensivists and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide patient and family education and emotional support
- Maintain detailed clinical documentation
Specialized Areas
- Surgical ICU (post-cardiac, vascular, and complex surgeries)
- Medical/Cardiac ICU (heart failure, stroke, respiratory failure, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN or CCNE)
- Active RN license (Ohio or compact state)
- Current BLS certification (ACLS required for ICU/ED)
- Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience
- Strong English communication and documentation skills
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Completion of VA-required training (safety, HIPAA, EHR, etc.)
- Compliance with credentialing and privileging standards
- Ability to float between units as needed
