Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department position requiring ACLS, PALS, and a minimum of 2 years of experience, with night shifts and every other weekend coverage.

Details
  • Level 1 Trauma, Stroke, and STEMI Emergency Department at an academic medical center
  • Pediatric ED is located within the main ED
  • Psych center is associated with the ED but travelers will not float there
  • Floating required between the ED and ED Observation unit
  • Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (18:45–07:15)
  • Every other weekend required
  • 50% of assigned holidays must be worked
  • On-call responsibilities required
  • Cerner charting experience preferred but not required
Requirements
  • Active MO or Compact RN license currently in hand — no pending licenses accepted
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • CPI certification preferred (Behavioral Health RNs require CPI Blue Card)
  • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, with at least 1 year in the ED specialty
  • Level 1 Trauma ED experience required
  • Must be able to ambulate, reach, and lift/move objects weighing 20 lbs or more
  • 2 professional references required for consideration
  • Any requested RTO must be disclosed upfront for consideration
Additional Information
  • First-time travelers will be considered provided they have Level 1 Trauma ED experience
  • Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible at the travel pay rate; candidates within 75 miles may be considered at a reduced rate
  • Regular exposure to patients with contagious illnesses is expected in this role
  • The facility is open 24/7/365, and rotating shifts and coverage during inclement weather will be required
