Your role as Nordic Spa Maintenance Supervisor is critical to delivering on this promise. In this role, you are expected to exceed guest expectations by creating “picture perfect” guest experiences. You will achieve excellence by cleaning and maintaining the facility throughout your shift in addition to operating the pools, saunas, steams rooms, pool deck and outdoor areas for safe guest use. Key Focuses
- Product Knowledge of all pools, sauna, steam rooms and spa layout, amenities and Emergency Exits. In addition to understanding various system requirements, i.e. mechanical, electrical, fixtures and equipment
- Collaborating across all spa departments to support each departmental maintenance program and execute daily, weekly and monthly checklists
- Represent Alyeska Nordic Spa with the highest level of service excellence and be knowledgeable of the entire facility
- Prevents minor maintenance issues from becoming major issues by promptly addressing all assigned maintenance work orders
- Documents and maintains detailed records on all physical equipment, life safety systems and items requiring regular inspection
- Reports/logs all maintenance issues immediately that are beyond the skill set of the employee to fix on their own
- Completes washing schedules as assigned or outlined in daily checklists
- Taking and testing water samples to monitor pool water chemistry and adjusting to maintain the quality standards
- Checks that the pool filtration system is in good working condition at prescribed times throughout their shift
- Maintains a safe and clean pool deck; by cleaning, clearing and maintaining all outdoor walkways, pathways, and green spaces
- Be aware and vigilant to protect yourself, employees, guests and the property against safety hazards. Take responsibility for following up on repairs or solutions and their execution
- Assigned tasks are completed in a manner that does not usually require follow-up, both in terms of timeliness and quality

- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Previous Spa or Hospitality experience preferred
- First Aid Certificates (including CPR) preferred
- Excellent guest service, communication, and organizational skills
- Able to lift, move, and handle cleaning chemicals responsibly
- Passion for people and wellness
- Ability to focus on attention to detail, remaining professional and courteous at all times
- Must be highly self-motivated
- Must be highly organized and able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and able to complete many diverse tasks concurrently
Working Conditions
This position operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with guests, team members, and other stakeholders. Due to 365-day-a-year operations, this position will require you work a variety of shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and holidays and may involve extended hours during periods of high business demand. A significant portion of the role is performed outdoors in the fresh mountain air, with exposure to a wide range of weather conditions, including temperatures from -22°ree;F to +86°ree;F. The position involves frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling, as well as occasional use of ladders, stairs, or ramps. The employee must be able to lift up to 30 lbs as required.
